Dedicated Circuits

The Importance of Dedicated Circuits ImageA dedicated electrical circuit has power and ground wires that are designed for use by single larger appliances. The purpose of dedicated circuits is to keep a very stable, well-regulated supply voltage going for electrical appliances to run correctly. Typical uses include computers, washers/dryers, refrigerators, garage doors, air conditioners, even your family fish tank. Otherwise, appliances may pull more current than the circuit can handle, resulting in overheated wires, melted insulation, and potential electrical fires.
