Two-prong outlets are the giveaway in a 1976 Dublin house. No ground means surge protectors cannot do their job and three-prong plugs need an adapter. Behind the walls the picture matches: aluminum branch wiring on some circuits, a 100-amp panel, and sometimes a recalled Federal Pacific or Zinsco panel. We correct all of it, with every price in writing first.

Then the panel. A recalled Federal Pacific or Zinsco panel comes out and a 200-amp breaker panel goes in, with room for an EV charger or a heat pump later. On aluminum circuits we remake every connection properly. Since Ida, whole-home surge protection is a common add-on.
Dublin Borough issues its own electrical permits under the Pennsylvania Uniform Construction Code. Like most of Bucks County, it uses a third-party agency for plan review and inspection. A panel swap or a new circuit needs one. We apply, schedule the inspection and meet the inspector. The fee is inside your written quote.
PECO Energy Company is Dublin's electric utility. PECO pulls the meter for a panel job and resets it after the inspection, and we book both. Everything past the meter is ours, 24 hours a day.
