The Thomas Edison difference
Newton Hamilton electricians don't treat a small borough like an afterthought. Thomas Edison Electric's crews cover all of Mifflin County from their own homes in fully stocked TEE vans. Newton Hamilton, ZIP 17075, is one of the county's smaller boroughs, with McVeytown and Mattawana both roughly 9 miles off.
We never subcontract the work. Every electrician we send carries PA license PA075449 and full insurance, and answers around the clock, 24/7, 365 days a year.
A Newton Hamilton call gets our own employee, from home in a stocked TEE van.
Knob-and-tube remnants and 60-amp services are common, and we update them safely.
We book the disconnect and reconnect for any panel or meter upgrade.
You approve the price before we start.
24/7, 365 days a year. A late arrival waives the dispatch fee.
PA075449, insured, 4.8 stars on Google, over 37,000 jobs since 2021.
We're dedicated to building lasting relationships with every client through exceptional service and guaranteed results.

Transparent pricing means written quotes with no surprises.
Newton Hamilton's population is around 229, and its houses typically date to 1948. That era usually means knob-and-tube remnants, a fuse box, a 60-amp service or outlets that were never grounded. We see it often and fix it without drama.
PPL Electric Utilities serves this part of Mifflin County, so a panel or meter upgrade is scheduled with them once we are ready. A 200-amp service upgrade replaces an undersized 60-amp panel, and a dedicated circuit handles a new well pump or shop addition.
Newton Hamilton sits about 20 miles from Lewistown, the county seat, and our crews are spread across the whole of Mifflin County rather than based in one spot, so the response is the same either way.
Newton Hamilton borough issues electrical permits under the state's Uniform Construction Code, using a third-party inspection agency rather than its own building department, the norm across Mifflin County. We take the permit and the inspection off your plate entirely.
PPL Electric Utilities provides power here. A service or meter upgrade means coordinating a disconnect and reconnect with PPL, and we schedule that. Outages and downed lines are PPL's to repair. From the meter into the house, that work is ours.
Our Pennsylvania and New Jersey experts are ready to resolve your electrical woes.

Mike from Thomas Edison Electric replaced our out-of-service-life whole-house surge protectors and repaired a lighting fixture for our deck. He did an excellent professional job. He didn't try to sell us things we didn't need. I highly recommend Mike.
