The Thomas Edison difference
An Orrtanna electrician from Thomas Edison Electric is a direct employee, never a subcontractor, and dispatches from home in a fully stocked TEE van. Orrtanna, ZIP 17353, is a small community in Adams County, with McKnightstown just 2.5 miles off, Fairfield at 4.0 and Arendtsville at 6.3.
Our license is PA075449, and we are fully insured with over 37,000 jobs completed since 2021. Call 215-227-7000 any hour, any day. The price is always in writing before work starts, and a late arrival waives the dispatch fee.
Orrtanna jobs go to our own electricians, never a subcontractor.
Fuse boxes and knob-and-tube remnants are routine work for our crews.
Met-Ed and Adams Electric Cooperative coordination is on us.
The written quote you approve is the number you pay.
Nights, weekends and holidays, 24/7, 365 days a year.
PA075449, over 37,000 jobs completed since 2021, financing available.

We're dedicated to building lasting relationships with every client through exceptional service and guaranteed results.
Our team delivers safe, affordable, long-lasting electrical services.
Your time is precious. If we're late, we'll waive your dispatch fee.
Transparent pricing means written quotes with no surprises.
Orrtanna's typical home dates to 1938, tied for the oldest median build year in this part of the county. Knob-and-tube remnants, fuse boxes, 60-amp services and ungrounded outlets are common in houses that age.
A fuse box from the 1930s was never built for today's kitchen, let alone a workshop or a home office. We size a new panel for what the house actually needs now, and we check every ceiling box before hanging a new fan or fixture. An electrical safety inspection is a smart step before any of that work begins.

Orrtanna has no borough government, so permits for electrical work go through the surrounding township under the state Uniform Construction Code, usually with a third-party agency handling plan review and inspection. We manage that process from start to finish.
Met-Ed supplies most of Orrtanna, and Adams Electric Cooperative reaches other parts of the county. A panel or service upgrade needs a scheduled disconnect at the meter, and we set that up directly. A downed line after a storm is the utility's repair. From the meter into the house, any hour, that's ours.
Our Pennsylvania and New Jersey experts are ready to resolve your electrical woes.

Lyle was fantastic to work with! He was very punctual, arriving right within the expected window the day of. While he was here he did good work, made sure to answer all questions during and after the job was completed, and cleaned up all traces of work being done like drywall dust and leftover bits of wire/wood scraps before leaving. 10/10, would entrust again.
