The Thomas Edison difference
Need a South Montrose electrician? Thomas Edison Electric covers ZIP 18843 in Susquehanna County. South Montrose is an unincorporated community, smaller than the borough of Montrose just 2.6 miles north, with Dimock and Brooklyn close by too.
Homes here date mostly to 1956. Knob-and-tube remnants, fuse boxes, 60-amp services and ungrounded outlets are still common at that age, even in a small community like this one. Our electricians dispatch from their own homes in fully stocked TEE vans. Call 215-227-7000 any hour.
South Montrose gets the same licensed, insured crew as anywhere else we serve.
Fuse boxes, knob-and-tube remnants and ungrounded outlets are routine work for us.
Ceiling and attic fans wired safely, with a written price first.
A full safety inspection with findings in writing before you list or buy.
Every electrician dispatches from their own home in a fully stocked TEE van.
Nights, weekends and holidays included.
We're dedicated to building lasting relationships with every client through exceptional service and guaranteed results.

Transparent pricing means written quotes with no surprises.
A community this size still runs into the same wiring habits as its larger neighbors. A 60-amp fuse box from 1956 gets replaced with a modern breaker panel through the same circuit breaker upgrade we do throughout the county. Ungrounded outlets and old ceiling fixtures usually come up in the same visit.
We also handle ceiling and attic fan installation and full electrical safety inspections ahead of a home sale. A smaller community doesn't mean a smaller crew or a longer wait. Every job gets the same written quote before work starts.
South Montrose isn't incorporated as its own borough, so permits route through the township, which uses a third-party inspection agency under the state's Uniform Construction Code, the same as most of Susquehanna County. We file that paperwork and manage the inspection.
PPL Electric Utilities supplies South Montrose. For a panel or meter upgrade, we handle the disconnect and reconnect PPL requires. Line repairs after a storm are PPL's job. The panel, the wiring and everything behind the meter on your property are ours to answer for, any hour.
Our Pennsylvania and New Jersey experts are ready to resolve your electrical woes.

Mike from Thomas Edison Electric replaced our out-of-service-life whole-house surge protectors and repaired a lighting fixture for our deck. He did an excellent professional job. He didn't try to sell us things we didn't need. I highly recommend Mike.
