Ours is not a subcontractor model. Electricians work directly for us, leave from home, and arrive with a van already stocked. We are family-owned, licensed in Pennsylvania under PA075449 and insured. Call 570-648-8800 anytime.

Electrical Service in and Around Danville

The typical Danville home dates to the late 1950s, old enough that fuse boxes, knob-and-tube remnants, 60-amp services and ungrounded outlets are still common finds.

We answer 24/7, 365 days a year, with a written quote before work starts and the dispatch fee waived if we run late. The same crews also serve Washingtonville and the rest of Montour County.

PPL Electric Utilities is the only utility serving the county, which keeps meter and service-upgrade coordination simple. We schedule the disconnect and reconnect directly whenever a job needs it.

Common Electrical Projects in Danville Homes

A Danville house from the late 1950s tends to need the same handful of things, not a full rebuild:

  • Fuse box replacement. A fuse box is outdated, not necessarily unsafe. We swap it for a modern breaker panel.

  • 60-amp to 200-amp upgrades. Needed before adding central air, a heat pump or an EV charger.

  • Knob-and-tube remnants. Old wiring behind removed fixtures needs to come out or be safely isolated.

  • Grounding. Two-prong outlets get a real ground or GFCI protection, especially near water.

Permits, Inspections and Your Utility in Danville

Danville Borough issues electrical permits under Pennsylvania's Uniform Construction Code, using a third-party inspection agency rather than running its own building department, typical across Montour County. We file the permit, schedule the inspection and are there when the inspector arrives.

PPL Electric Utilities is the only utility serving Montour County, so every service upgrade goes through the same coordination. We schedule the disconnect and reconnect. A downed line is PPL's repair. Everything from the meter into the house is ours, any hour.

Electrical service

I was really impressed with Don and Engeli and the work they performed for me. We had a discussion on the best way to run the new line for the septic pump and I really appreciated the extra effort they made to keep the esthetic of my home's exterior. They were pleasant and professional and all my fans and lights work great! They were patient and waited until I approved everything. A great team!

Danville Electrical FAQs

Is Danville too small for regular electrical service?

No. Our Danville and Washingtonville electricians work the same schedule as any town in our territory, with a firm arrival window and a written quote first. We answer emergencies 24/7, holidays included.

How do I know if my Danville house has knob-and-tube wiring?

Homes from the late 1950s or earlier are the most likely candidates. Look for cloth-covered wiring in the attic or basement, and watch for warm switch plates or flickering lights. An inspection confirms it.

Do I need a permit for a panel upgrade in Danville?

Yes. Panel and service work needs a permit through the borough under Pennsylvania's Uniform Construction Code. We handle the filing and inspection, and coordinate the meter disconnect and reconnect with PPL so it lands on one schedule.

Can I finance a panel upgrade or rewire?

Yes. Ask about flexible payment options when you get your quote. A panel upgrade or knob-and-tube remediation is a real cost, and we would rather you fix it safely now than wait for a failure.
