Locust Gap's typical home dates to 1971, newer than much of the surrounding coal region. Aluminum branch wiring, 100-amp panels, two-prong outlets and recalled Federal Pacific or Zinsco panels are the common finds here, rather than fuse boxes.
A 200-amp panel upgrade replaces a recalled panel and leaves room for an EV charger down the line. We also handle the smaller calls: a dead outlet, a breaker that trips without warning, a light that will not stop flickering.
Locust Gap has no borough government, so permits go through the township under Pennsylvania's Uniform Construction Code, typically handled by a third-party inspection agency rather than an in-house building department.
