The Thomas Edison difference
Call a Starlight electrician from Thomas Edison Electric and you get our own employee, not a subcontractor. Starlight, ZIP 18461, sits among a handful of small lake communities in Wayne County. Preston Park is 2.1 miles off, Lake Como 3.8 and Lakewood 4.5.
We hold PA license PA075449 and full insurance. Our family-owned company has completed over 37,000 jobs since 2021. Call 215-227-7000 any hour. The quote comes in writing first, and if we run late, we waive the dispatch fee.
A dead outlet gets the same Starlight electrician as a full rewire, no job too small.
Thomas Edison Electric employees dispatch from home to reach these lake communities.
A heat pump or EV charger can overwhelm an older 100 to 150-amp panel fast.
Whether PPL or Penelec bills your address, we manage the meter scheduling ourselves.
Nights, weekends and holidays get the same electrician, not an answering service.
PA075449 licensed, financing available, and a written quote for every job.
We're dedicated to building lasting relationships with every client through exceptional service and guaranteed results.

Like the rest of Wayne County, the woods around Starlight put lines at real risk once ice or heavy snow sets in. A standby generator with an automatic transfer switch is common work for us out here, especially at homes that sit empty part of the year.
Copper wiring is standard across Wayne County by now. The catch is panel size. A lot of 100 to 150-amp panels have no spare room once a heat pump, hot tub or EV charger gets added. We run the numbers and handle the upgrade if you need one, plus everyday work like lighting and ceiling fans.
Every electrical job in Starlight falls under Pennsylvania's Uniform Construction Code, the same rule that covers all of Wayne County. Small communities like this one usually rely on a third-party agency for plan review and inspections, rather than a town-run building department. We take care of the paperwork, from filing the permit to standing by for the inspector.
A panel upgrade or new meter base in Starlight always touches the utility side. PPL Electric Utilities serves most of the area, with Penelec in some pockets nearby, and we coordinate the disconnect and reconnect with whichever one applies. Storm-related line repairs stay with the utility. Past the meter, every wire in the house is our responsibility.
Our Pennsylvania and New Jersey experts are ready to resolve your electrical woes.

Mike from Thomas Edison Electric replaced our out-of-service-life whole-house surge protectors and repaired a lighting fixture for our deck. He did an excellent professional job. He didn't try to sell us things we didn't need. I highly recommend Mike.
