The Thomas Edison difference
Bowmansdale Electricians, Local Every Time
Looking for a Bowmansdale electrician? Thomas Edison Electric's crews dispatch from their own homes across Cumberland County, not from a distant yard, arriving in fully stocked TEE vans. Bowmansdale, ZIP 17008, sits just 1.1 miles from Grantham and 3.6 miles from Mechanicsburg.
Every electrician on our team is our own employee, licensed under PA075449 and fully insured. We answer 24/7, 365 days a year, holidays included, with a written price before any work starts.
No job too small
A single dead outlet gets the same licensed electrician as a full panel swap.
County-wide wiring experience
Aluminum branch circuits and recalled Federal Pacific or Zinsco panels are familiar work throughout Cumberland County.
Employed, not subcontracted
Every Bowmansdale electrician works directly for Thomas Edison Electric and drives a fully stocked TEE van from home.
Utility scheduling included
We coordinate service upgrades with PPL, Met-Ed or Adams Electric Cooperative on your behalf.
Written price first
Nothing starts until you've approved the quote.
Late costs us, not you
Miss the window and the dispatch fee is waived.
Committed to Your Complete Satisfaction
We're dedicated to building lasting relationships with every client through exceptional service and guaranteed results.

Practical Electrical Work in Bowmansdale
Plenty of what we do in Bowmansdale is everyday work, not a full renovation: a breaker that trips under normal use, a dead outlet, a ceiling fan that wobbles. Our vans carry the parts to close most calls out in one visit.
Across Cumberland County, aluminum branch wiring, 100-amp panels, two-prong outlets and recalled Federal Pacific or Zinsco panels are common finds in older homes. We fix loose aluminum connections with the right connectors, ground outlets that need it, and replace a recalled panel rather than patch around it.
PPL Electric Utilities supplies most of the area, with Met-Ed and Adams Electric Cooperative covering other pockets of the county. Whichever applies to your address, the work from the meter in is ours.
Permits, Inspections and Your Utility in Bowmansdale
Bowmansdale's electrical permits fall under Pennsylvania's Uniform Construction Code. As in most of the county, plan review and inspection go through a third-party agency rather than a dedicated building department. We file the permit, schedule the inspector and stay on hand to answer questions.
PPL Electric Utilities serves much of this part of Cumberland County, with Met-Ed and Adams Electric Cooperative covering other areas. A panel upgrade or new service line needs a scheduled disconnect and reconnect, which we arrange directly. A street-wide outage belongs to the utility. A problem at your panel is ours, any time you call 717-274-2700.
