The Thomas Edison difference
Need a Bryn Athyn electrician? Thomas Edison Electric's crews live around Montgomery County and drive fully stocked TEE vans out from their own homes. Bryn Athyn, ZIP 19009, is home to about 1,143 people. It's tucked beside Huntingdon Valley, with Willow Grove and Abington a bit further out.
We're a family-owned, multigenerational company licensed in Pennsylvania under PA075449 and insured, with more than 37,000 jobs completed since 2021. Call 215-227-7000 any hour. The price is in writing before we start, and if we run late, we waive the dispatch fee.
Aluminum branch wiring, a full 100-amp panel and two-prong outlets are the common finds. We know the approved repair for each.
Every Bryn Athyn electrician on our crew is our own hire, out of their own home in a stocked TEE van.
You see the number before any tool comes out, whether it's one outlet or a full panel swap.
Upgrades and panel swaps need a disconnect and reconnect. We handle the booking.
Our electricians train on current code every week, so an older panel gets handled the right way.
A dead circuit at midnight still gets a licensed electrician, not a callback next week.
We're dedicated to building lasting relationships with every client through exceptional service and guaranteed results.

Transparent pricing means written quotes with no surprises.
The typical house here dates to 1971. That era usually means aluminum wiring on the branch circuits, a 100-amp panel and two-prong outlets with no ground. Recalled Federal Pacific or Zinsco panels turn up too, and replacing one is often the safer fix over a repair.
We remake aluminum connections with rated connectors, ground the outlets that need it, and handle panel upgrades once a box is full or recalled. For newer needs, we run dedicated circuits for EV chargers too.
This borough issues electrical permits under Pennsylvania's Uniform Construction Code, like most in the county. It usually leans on a third-party agency for plan review and inspections. We handle the permit and inspection, already priced into your quote.
PECO Energy Company is the utility here. A service upgrade or new panel means we schedule a disconnect and reconnect with PECO at the meter. Storm damage to the lines outside is PECO's job. From the meter in, panel, wiring, outlets, that's ours, day or night.
Our Pennsylvania and New Jersey experts are ready to resolve your electrical woes.

Mike from Thomas Edison Electric replaced our out-of-service-life whole-house surge protectors and repaired a lighting fixture for our deck. He did an excellent professional job. He didn't try to sell us things we didn't need. I highly recommend Mike.
