The Thomas Edison difference
Looking for a Colmar electrician? Thomas Edison Electric's crews are spread across Montgomery County and drive fully stocked TEE vans out from their own homes. Colmar, ZIP 18915, sits between Montgomeryville, Lansdale and Hatfield, with Gwynedd and Kulpsville a little further out.
We're a family-owned, multigenerational company, licensed under PA075449 and insured, rated 4.8 stars on Google. Call 800-380-6800 any hour. Every price is written before work starts, and if we run late, we waive the dispatch fee.
Colmar sits close to both Hatfield and Lansdale, which run their own municipal electric. Check the name on your bill and we'll coordinate with the right one.
Aluminum wiring, maxed-out 100-amp panels and recalled brands are common work here.
Colmar's electricians work directly for Thomas Edison Electric, dispatched from home.
No surprise invoices, on a small repair or a full upgrade.
Nights, weekends and holidays get a licensed electrician, not an answering machine.
Ask about flexible payment options on larger projects like a panel upgrade.
We're dedicated to building lasting relationships with every client through exceptional service and guaranteed results.

Transparent pricing means written quotes with no surprises.
Colmar sees a mix of calls, from a dead outlet to a full panel swap. The electrician who shows up carries the parts to finish it in one visit, price included.
Homes across Montgomery County often still run on aluminum branch wiring, 100-amp panels, two-prong outlets and, sometimes, a recalled Federal Pacific or Zinsco panel. We check for all of it on older Colmar homes. The fix goes in writing, whether that's a panel upgrade or grounding a run of outlets.
We also wire dedicated circuits for garages and workshops, and install ceiling and attic fans, all priced up front.
Colmar's electrical permits fall under Pennsylvania's statewide Uniform Construction Code. Like most of the county, the town brings in a third-party agency for plan review and inspections. We handle the permit and inspection, part of your quote.
PECO Energy Company serves most of Colmar. Hatfield and Lansdale each run their own municipal electric system nearby, so check the name on your bill before a service upgrade. Whichever one is yours, we schedule the disconnect and reconnect at the meter. Storm-related outages are the utility's to fix. From the meter into your home, that's our job, any hour.
Our Pennsylvania and New Jersey experts are ready to resolve your electrical woes.

Mike from Thomas Edison Electric replaced our out-of-service-life whole-house surge protectors and repaired a lighting fixture for our deck. He did an excellent professional job. He didn't try to sell us things we didn't need. I highly recommend Mike.
