Transparent pricing means written quotes with no surprises.
The typical Dushore home dates to 1960, which usually means aluminum branch wiring, 100-amp panels and two-prong outlets, with recalled Federal Pacific or Zinsco panels turning up regularly too. We check the panel brand before recommending anything.
PPL Electric Utilities is the primary electric utility here, though Sullivan County also has rural cooperatives and Penelec territory nearby. Whichever one sends your bill, a panel upgrade or new service gets coordinated with them for the disconnect and reconnect. We also add dedicated circuits for workshops and install EV chargers in garages built long before anyone planned for one.
As an incorporated borough, Dushore files its own electrical permits, governed statewide by Pennsylvania's Uniform Construction Code. Plan review and inspection go to a third-party agency instead of a borough building department, which is standard for small boroughs in Sullivan County. Filing that permit and meeting the inspector is on us.
Several utilities operate around Sullivan County, and PPL Electric Utilities is the primary one near Dushore. Whichever company bills you, a service upgrade means coordinating a disconnect and reconnect at your meter, and we make that call so you do not have to. Lines and poles are the utility's territory. From the meter into the house, any hour, that is ours.
Our Pennsylvania and New Jersey experts are ready to resolve your electrical woes.

Mike from Thomas Edison Electric replaced our out-of-service-life whole-house surge protectors and repaired a lighting fixture for our deck. He did an excellent professional job. He didn't try to sell us things we didn't need. I highly recommend Mike.
