Electrical Service in Eagleville

Eagleville's typical home dates to 1974. Homes from that era usually have aluminum wiring on the branch circuits and a panel sized for a much smaller electrical load than most households run today. Two-prong outlets with no ground are common too.

Amperage issues show up often as a result: a panel that trips under normal use, or one that can't take on a new circuit without an upgrade. We diagnose the actual amperage capacity rather than guessing, then price the fix, whether that's correcting the aluminum connections or moving to a 200-amp panel.

Common Electrical Projects in Eagleville Homes

A 1974 Eagleville home wasn't built with central air, a home office and an EV charger in mind. The original panel is usually the bottleneck.

  • Aluminum wiring correction. Every connection gets inspected and repaired with approved connectors, or rewired where that's the better call.

  • Panel upgrades to 200 amps, arranged with PECO from permit to reconnect. See circuit breaker repair and upgrades.

  • Two-prong outlet grounding, room by room, to current code.

  • EV charger circuits. A Level 2 charger needs a dedicated line and enough panel capacity to run it safely.

Permits, Inspections and Your Utility in Eagleville

Eagleville's electrical permits fall under Pennsylvania's Uniform Construction Code. Like most of the county, the township hands plan review and inspections to a third-party agency. We pull the permit and schedule the inspection, already priced into your quote.

PECO Energy Company supplies power to Eagleville. A panel upgrade needs a scheduled disconnect and reconnect, which we arrange. Downed lines outside are PECO's to fix. From the meter in, that's ours, any hour.

Electrical service

I was really impressed with Don and Engeli and the work they performed for me. We had a discussion on the best way to run the new line for the septic pump and I really appreciated the extra effort they made to keep the esthetic of my home's exterior. They were pleasant and professional and all my fans and lights work great! They were patient and waited until I approved everything. A great team!

Eagleville Electrical FAQs

Is there a 24-hour electrician who serves Eagleville?

Yes. We're on call 24/7, 365 days a year, holidays included. The electrician who answers is local, dispatching from home. Call 610-489-1300 whenever the problem comes up.

Why does my Eagleville home's power trip so often?

Often it comes down to amperage. A 1970s panel may be sized for far less than a modern household draws. We test the actual amperage rather than guessing.

The power went out near Eagleville. Is that you or PECO?

Check the neighbors first. A whole-street outage is PECO's to fix. If only your home lost power, that's typically inside your own system, which is where we come in.

Is aluminum wiring in an Eagleville home dangerous?

Not automatically, but the connections need attention. The risk is at the terminations, where the metal can loosen and overheat. We repair it with approved connectors, or rewire where that makes more sense.
