Elverson's typical home dates to 1996, newer than most of the county. Copper wiring is standard here, so the work leans toward capacity instead of replacing dangerous old wiring. A 100 to 150-amp panel was plenty in 1996. A heat pump, a hot tub or an EV charger can still max it out.
Elverson gets its power from PECO Energy Company, with PPL Electric Utilities in other parts of the county. A service upgrade needs a disconnect and reconnect, which we schedule.
Hurricane Ida's remnants brought flash flooding to parts of Chester County in September 2021, hitting the Schuylkill and Brandywine watersheds. A standby generator with a transfer switch is a common request now.
