Great Bend's median home dates to 1964, squarely in the years when builders leaned on aluminum for branch wiring. Panels sized at 100 amps are typical, and so is wiring that needs a connection-by-connection check. A recalled Federal Pacific or Zinsco panel turns up now and then too, and two-prong outlets round out the list.
