Wyoming County splits its electric service among four utilities. Laceyville sits mainly in PPL Electric Utilities territory, with UGI Electric and Claverack Rural Electric Cooperative both active elsewhere in the county. We deal directly with whichever one serves your meter.
Laceyville's homes mostly date to 1956, an era when knob-and-tube wiring, fuse boxes, 60-amp services and ungrounded outlets were standard, and plenty of that original wiring is still in the walls. A safety inspection maps out what's there, and we handle the breaker panel upgrade most of these homes eventually need. Our electricians are directly employed, not subcontracted.
Laceyville Borough issues electrical permits under Pennsylvania's Uniform Construction Code. As in most of Wyoming County, plan review and inspections usually go through a third-party agency rather than an in-house building department.
