Transparent pricing means written quotes with no surprises.
Dimming lights when a large appliance kicks on are often the first sign a panel is at its limit. In this part of Lycoming County that panel is frequently rated for only 100 amps, sometimes with aluminum branch wiring feeding it and a two-prong outlet or two still in the mix. A 200-amp upgrade usually solves it for good.
Out toward Unityville and Muncy, PPL Electric Utilities shares the territory with Met-Ed and a few rural cooperatives. Tell us which one bills you, and we handle the scheduling on a service upgrade or meter change. Past the meter, the panel and every wire in the house are our responsibility, any hour.
Electrical permits here go through the township under Pennsylvania's Uniform Construction Code, usually with a third-party inspection agency handling plan review rather than an in-house building department. We file the permit and manage the inspection, so it is one less thing on your list.
PPL Electric Utilities covers part of the Lairdsville area, with Met-Ed and rural cooperatives serving other pockets nearby. A downed line or outage is the utility's to fix. From the meter in, the work is ours, any hour.
Our Pennsylvania and New Jersey experts are ready to resolve your electrical woes.

Mike from Thomas Edison Electric replaced our out-of-service-life whole-house surge protectors and repaired a lighting fixture for our deck. He did an excellent professional job. He didn't try to sell us things we didn't need. I highly recommend Mike.
