The Thomas Edison difference
Need a Montandon electrician? Thomas Edison Electric's crews already live and work around Northumberland County, so Montandon is part of the regular route, not a special trip. This unincorporated community in ZIP 17850 sits near Potts Grove, Northumberland, Sunbury and Watsontown.
We are a family-owned, multigenerational company, licensed in Pennsylvania under PA075449 and fully insured. Each electrician passes a background check and trains weekly on current code before showing up at your door. Call 570-648-8800 any time, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and get a written quote before work starts. If we run late, we waive the dispatch fee.
Aluminum wiring, 100-amp panels and two-prong outlets are typical here, and we know the fixes cold.
Electricians live around the county and roll out in fully stocked TEE vans.
We schedule the disconnect and reconnect for any upgrade.

Transparent pricing means written quotes with no surprises.
The typical Montandon house dates to 1973, aluminum-wiring territory. Homes from that era often have aluminum branch circuits, 100-amp panels and two-prong outlets, and a recalled Federal Pacific or Zinsco panel is not unusual either. We check the panel brand before anything else.
A loose aluminum connection tends to show up as a warm switch plate or a flickering light. We remake those joints with connectors rated for aluminum, rather than patching over the symptom. Panel upgrades and dedicated circuits for a new range are common requests in Montandon.
Montandon has no borough government, so permits go through the township under Pennsylvania's Uniform Construction Code. Most townships in the county use a third-party agency for plan review and inspection rather than running their own building department. We pull the permit, schedule the inspection and meet the inspector on site, folded into your written quote.
PPL Electric Utilities delivers power to most of Montandon, with Citizens Electric Company serving part of the county. A panel upgrade or new meter base means a scheduled disconnect and reconnect, which we handle. Line damage and outages are the utility's repair. From the meter into the house, the work is ours, any hour.
Our Pennsylvania and New Jersey experts are ready to resolve your electrical woes.

Mike from Thomas Edison Electric replaced our out-of-service-life whole-house surge protectors and repaired a lighting fixture for our deck. He did an excellent professional job. He didn't try to sell us things we didn't need. I highly recommend Mike.
