Award-winning company
The Thomas Edison difference
Need a Morgantown electrician? Thomas Edison Electric's crews live around Berks County and drive fully stocked TEE vans out from home, not a shared yard. Morgantown carries ZIP 19543, and the same crew that answers here also covers Geigertown, Birdsboro and Monocacy Station.
We're a family-owned, award-winning company, licensed in Pennsylvania under PA075449 and fully insured. We've completed over 37,000 jobs since 2021 and answer 24/7, 365 days a year, holidays included. Call 610-777-7600. Every job starts with a written quote, and if we run late, we waive the dispatch fee.
Morgantown's newer housing stock means sound wiring, so most calls here are about panel capacity, not corroded connections.
We add dedicated circuits for EV chargers and install standby generators with an automatic transfer switch as a certified Generac dealer.
Every electrician who comes to your door dispatches from home in a fully stocked TEE van, never a subcontractor.
You see the price before we touch a wire, whether it is a panel swap or a single outlet.
If we miss the window we give you, we waive the dispatch fee before you even ask.
PA075449, over 37,000 jobs completed since 2021, and 4.8 stars on Google.
We're dedicated to building lasting relationships with every client through exceptional service and guaranteed results.

Transparent pricing means written quotes with no surprises.
Morgantown's typical home dates to 2000, well past the aluminum wiring and knob-and-tube years that show up elsewhere in the county. The wiring itself is usually fine. What runs short is capacity, once a heat pump, a hot tub and an EV charger all pull from the same panel.
That's the work we see most here: capacity upgrades, dedicated circuits for a workshop, and standby generators with an automatic transfer switch. As a certified Generac dealer, we install and service those too. Birdsboro, Douglassville and Reading share the same crew that answers in Morgantown.
Morgantown has no borough hall of its own, so permits for electrical work go through the township under Pennsylvania's Uniform Construction Code. Like most of Berks County, the township hires a third-party agency to review plans and inspect finished work. We pull the permit, book the inspection and walk the inspector through the job.
Met-Ed, billed as Penelec in parts of Berks County, is the primary electric utility here, and PPL Electric Utilities covers other pockets of the county. A panel upgrade or meter move needs a disconnect and reconnect on their end, and we schedule both. Storm damage to the line is the utility's repair. From the meter inward, the panel, the wiring, every outlet, is ours, any hour.
Our Pennsylvania and New Jersey experts are ready to resolve your electrical woes.

Absolutely thrilled with our electrician Dennis! He was very knowledgeable and polite. Made this process very easy and stress free. We had two light fixtures put in along with an exhaust fan, cleaned up after and everything. Highly recommend this company and their electrician!

Had a great experience with Michael Van for my initial inspection/walk-through and Steve P and the crew with the install. All of them, including the employees on the phone, were polite and prompt, and I'm very satisfied with my new electrical panel and wiring.
