Homes in Mount Aetna typically date to 1968, right in the years when aluminum branch wiring was standard practice. Those connections loosen with heat over time, which shows up as warm switch plates or lights that flicker under load. A 100-amp panel from that era is common too, and it rarely has room left for a modern kitchen or an EV charger.
We remake aluminum connections with properly rated hardware, ground two-prong outlets or protect them with GFCI devices, and swap out any recalled Federal Pacific or Zinsco panel we find. A 200-amp panel upgrade covers most of that in one visit. Strausstown and Robesonia see the same issues, and the same crew answers in both.
Mount Aetna isn't its own borough, so electrical permits route through the township under Pennsylvania's Uniform Construction Code. As in most of Berks County, the township contracts a third-party agency to review plans and inspect the work rather than running its own building department. We file the permit, set the inspection date and meet the inspector on site.
Met-Ed, which also bills as Penelec in parts of the county, is the main electric utility around Mount Aetna, with PPL Electric Utilities serving other areas. Upgrades and meter moves get booked with them directly. If the outage is on their poles, that repair is theirs. Everything from the meter into the house is ours, day or night.
Our Pennsylvania and New Jersey experts are ready to resolve your electrical woes.

Absolutely thrilled with our electrician Dennis! He was very knowledgeable and polite. Made this process very easy and stress free. We had two light fixtures put in along with an exhaust fan, cleaned up after and everything. Highly recommend this company and their electrician!

Had a great experience with Michael Van for my initial inspection/walk-through and Steve P and the crew with the install. All of them, including the employees on the phone, were polite and prompt, and I'm very satisfied with my new electrical panel and wiring.
