The Thomas Edison difference
Rehrersburg electricians from Thomas Edison Electric are direct employees who dispatch from their own homes, not a shared yard, in fully stocked TEE vans. Rehrersburg, ZIP 19550, is one of the smaller communities we cover in Berks County, with Bethel 2.7 miles off and Mount Aetna 3.8.
We're licensed under PA075449, fully insured, and have completed over 37,000 jobs since 2021. Call 717-274-2700 any hour of the day or night. Every quote is written before we start, and if we run late, the dispatch fee is waived.
Knob-and-tube, fuse boxes and 60-amp service are routine calls for us, not a surprise.
Rehrersburg gets the identical licensed, insured crew as anywhere else we serve.
No subcontractors, ever, and every van is stocked before it leaves home.
You see the price and approve it before any work begins.
Missing the window costs us, not you.
Over 37,000 jobs completed since 2021, rated 4.8 stars on Google.
We're dedicated to building lasting relationships with every client through exceptional service and guaranteed results.

Transparent pricing means written quotes with no surprises.
Rehrersburg's typical home dates to 1938, old enough that knob-and-tube remnants, fuse boxes and 60-amp service still show up regularly. Ungrounded outlets are common too, particularly in additions built after the original house.
A fuse box swap to a modern breaker panel is one of our most common calls out here. We also retire knob-and-tube runs, add proper grounding, and handle electrical safety inspections for anyone buying or selling. Strausstown and Bethel see the same era of housing, and the same crew answers in both.
Rehrersburg falls under township government rather than its own borough, so permits for electrical work go through the township under Pennsylvania's Uniform Construction Code. As in most of Berks County, the township typically hires a third-party agency to handle plan review and inspections. We take care of filing the permit, scheduling the inspection and meeting the inspector on site.
Met-Ed, billed as Penelec in parts of the county, is the main electric utility around Rehrersburg, and PPL Electric Utilities serves other areas. A service upgrade or meter move needs their disconnect and reconnect, which we schedule. Line damage is the utility's repair; the meter inward is ours, any hour.
Our Pennsylvania and New Jersey experts are ready to resolve your electrical woes.

Absolutely thrilled with our electrician Dennis! He was very knowledgeable and polite. Made this process very easy and stress free. We had two light fixtures put in along with an exhaust fan, cleaned up after and everything. Highly recommend this company and their electrician!

Had a great experience with Michael Van for my initial inspection/walk-through and Steve P and the crew with the install. All of them, including the employees on the phone, were polite and prompt, and I'm very satisfied with my new electrical panel and wiring.
