Award-winning company
The Thomas Edison difference
New Berlinville electricians from Thomas Edison Electric dispatch from their own homes, never from a shared yard, in fully stocked TEE vans. New Berlinville, ZIP 19545, borders Boyertown less than a mile off, with Bechtelsville and Barto close by too, all in Berks County.
Our company is family-owned and award-winning, licensed under PA075449 and fully insured, with over 37,000 jobs completed since 2021. Call 610-489-1300 any hour, any day. You get a written quote before work starts, and if we're late, the dispatch fee is waived.
Knob-and-tube remnants, fuse boxes and 60-amp service are familiar work, not a shock to us.
The same electrician who answers in New Berlinville covers Boyertown, Bechtelsville and Barto too.
No subcontractors, ever. Every van leaves fully stocked from an electrician's own home.
No surprise invoices, just the number you approved.
We waive it automatically if we miss the window.
Licensed under PA075449, insured, and rated 4.8 stars on Google.
We're dedicated to building lasting relationships with every client through exceptional service and guaranteed results.

New Berlinville's typical home dates to 1938, old enough that knob-and-tube remnants, fuse boxes and 60-amp service still turn up on our visits. Ungrounded outlets are common too, especially in additions built onto the original structure.
We replace fuse boxes with modern breaker panels, retire old knob-and-tube runs, and add grounding or GFCI protection where a real ground isn't practical. A full electrical safety inspection is the clearest way to see where the house stands before you buy, sell or renovate. Boyertown and Pine Forge see the same housing stock, and the same crew covers both.
New Berlinville sits within a township rather than its own borough, so electrical permits are filed with the township under Pennsylvania's Uniform Construction Code. Most townships in Berks County send plan review and inspections to a third-party agency instead of running a building department. We take care of the filing, the scheduling and the inspector's visit.
Met-Ed, also billed as Penelec in parts of the county, is the primary electric utility here, and PPL Electric Utilities covers other areas. A panel upgrade needs a disconnect and reconnect at the meter, and we set that up. Line damage is the utility's repair; the meter inward is ours, any hour.
Our Pennsylvania and New Jersey experts are ready to resolve your electrical woes.

Absolutely thrilled with our electrician Dennis! He was very knowledgeable and polite. Made this process very easy and stress free. We had two light fixtures put in along with an exhaust fan, cleaned up after and everything. Highly recommend this company and their electrician!

Jimmy made the service call easy. After describing our issue, 2 min max, he already knew what was wrong. He quickly identified, found, and fixed the offending GFI. After years of using Thomas Edison Electric we always refer them to friends and family.

Had a great experience with Michael Van for my initial inspection/walk-through and Steve P and the crew with the install. All of them, including the employees on the phone, were polite and prompt, and I'm very satisfied with my new electrical panel and wiring.
