Pine Forge is an unincorporated community, so electrical work is permitted through the township under Pennsylvania's Uniform Construction Code. Most townships in Berks County hire a third-party agency to review plans and inspect finished work instead of running a building department of their own, and the process shifts slightly from township to township. We file the permit, book the inspection and meet the inspector at the house.
