The Thomas Edison difference
A Refton electrician from Thomas Edison Electric works this corner of Lancaster County directly, no subcontractors involved. Refton is a small community, 321 people, in ZIP 17568, with New Providence 2.4 miles off, Lampeter 3.0 and Willow Street 3.2.
Small towns get the same standard here: licensed under PA075449, insured, and staffed by electricians who pass a background check before they ever knock on a door. We're on call 24/7, 365 days a year. If we're late, the dispatch fee is waived, no questions asked.
1960s wiring and recalled Federal Pacific or Zinsco panels are common around Refton, and we know both on sight.
Refton gets the same licensed electricians as anywhere larger in the county, dispatched from their own homes.
Everything past the meter, panel to outlet, is our side of the job.
No work starts until you've approved the price.
Nights, weekends and holidays included, with the dispatch fee waived if we're late.

Transparent pricing means written quotes with no surprises.
Homes around Refton often date to the early 1960s, and aluminum branch wiring shows up more than copper does. Two-prong outlets and the occasional recalled Federal Pacific or Zinsco panel round out the list. None of it is unusual, and none of it should wait.
Our electricians dispatch from their own homes across Lancaster County, never a subcontractor, in fully stocked TEE vans. A circuit breaker upgrade or an electrical safety inspection both start the same way, with a written quote before anything is touched. Call 717-274-2700 any hour.
Refton work falls under Pennsylvania's Uniform Construction Code, the same as everywhere else in the county, with the township issuing the permit itself. What varies is the inspection: most townships around here hire an outside firm rather than keep an inspector on staff, and that firm can change from one township to the next. We handle the whole process, permit through final sign-off, as part of the job.
PPL Electric Utilities serves Refton. A meter change or new service size goes through PPL's scheduling, which we coordinate directly. An outage across the neighborhood is PPL's fix. Trouble that stops at your house is ours.
Our Pennsylvania and New Jersey experts are ready to resolve your electrical woes.

Mike from Thomas Edison Electric replaced our out-of-service-life whole-house surge protectors and repaired a lighting fixture for our deck. He did an excellent professional job. He didn't try to sell us things we didn't need. I highly recommend Mike.
