The Thomas Edison difference
Shoemakersville electricians from Thomas Edison Electric dispatch from their own homes in fully stocked TEE vans, never from a shared yard. Shoemakersville, ZIP 19555, is a borough in Berks County, close to Mohrsville and Centerport, with Leesport and Hamburg not far behind.
We hold PA license PA075449, carry full insurance, and have completed over 37,000 jobs since 2021. Call 610-777-7600 any hour, any day of the year. Every quote is written before work starts, and we waive the dispatch fee if we're late.
Fuse boxes, knob-and-tube remnants and 60-amp service are work we see every week.
Every electrician dispatches from home in a fully stocked TEE van.
You know the cost before we start, panel job or single outlet.
That's on us, not you, if we miss the window.
24/7, 365 days a year, holidays included.
PA075449, over 37,000 jobs completed since 2021, 4.8 stars on Google.
We're dedicated to building lasting relationships with every client through exceptional service and guaranteed results.

Transparent pricing means written quotes with no surprises.
The typical Shoemakersville home dates to 1947, old enough that knob-and-tube remnants, fuse boxes and 60-amp service are still fairly common finds. Ungrounded outlets often come along with that vintage too.
We replace fuse boxes with a modern breaker panel, retire old knob-and-tube wiring, and ground or GFCI-protect outlets that need it. An electrical safety inspection is a good first step if you're buying, selling or just want to know where things stand. Centerport and Hamburg share the same building stock, and the same crew answers there too.
Shoemakersville Borough issues its own electrical permits, but like the rest of Pennsylvania it works under the state's Uniform Construction Code, and leans on a third-party inspection agency to review plans and inspect the work rather than running that in house. We pull the permit, schedule the inspection and are there when the inspector arrives.
Met-Ed, billed as Penelec in parts of Berks County, is the main electric utility here, and PPL Electric Utilities covers other areas. A panel upgrade or meter move needs a disconnect and reconnect on their end, which we schedule. Line damage is the utility's repair; the meter inward is ours, any hour.
Our Pennsylvania and New Jersey experts are ready to resolve your electrical woes.

We have an older Casablanca fan, it stopped functioning properly. Thomas Edison sent an electric technician out in two days. Nassim found the problem in the wall switch. I was given the opportunity to find a replacment switch . Once I secured the switch they were out in a few days. Installation was completed within an hour. Will use Thomas Edison again .

Our technician Dennis did an amazing job installing a new circuit panel and new outlets for us. We are so grateful and so happy to be able to plug multiple things in without tripping the breaker. Our lights also look so much brighter. Thank you so much! Very professional, very knowledgeable and estimates are fairly priced compared to the others around the area. Very happy overall. Highly recommend.

Personable knowledgeable friendly. Mike V made sure I was educated and up to par on what I needed and more importantly what I did not need as another company was trying to sell me things I did not need . Very happy with the results.
