The Thomas Edison difference
A Big Cove Tannery electrician from Thomas Edison Electric covers ZIP 17212 in Fulton County. Needmore and the county seat, McConnellsburg, sit nearby. The electrician who answers is our own employee, not a subcontractor, and stocks the TEE van before leaving home.
We carry Pennsylvania license PA075449 and full insurance, with over 37,000 jobs completed since 2021. Every visit starts with a written quote, and a late arrival waives the dispatch fee. Call 215-227-7000 any hour, any day of the year.
We wire dedicated circuits for barns, wells and workshops, no special trip fee.
We size the transfer switch to what actually needs to stay on when the line goes down.
Not a subcontractor, ever.
Before any work starts.
Every day, including holidays.

Transparent pricing means written quotes with no surprises.
Fulton County's older homes commonly run on aluminum branch wiring and 100-amp panels. Two-prong outlets are common too, and sometimes a recalled Federal Pacific or Zinsco panel sits behind the cover plate. Big Cove Tannery is no exception, and it is the first thing we check on an older-home visit.
Rural properties out here often need a dedicated circuit for a barn, well pump or workshop. A standby generator with a proper transfer switch matters too, and it matters even more at the end of a long rural line.
Met-Ed is the primary utility, but New Enterprise Rural Electric Cooperative serves part of Big Cove Tannery too.
Electrical permits here fall under Pennsylvania's Uniform Construction Code, issued by the township. Most Fulton County townships send plan review and inspection to a third-party agency instead of staffing their own building department. The process can look different depending on exactly where you sit. We handle the filing and the inspector's visit, both included in your written quote.
Weather damage to the lines out front belongs to whichever utility runs your service, Met-Ed or a rural cooperative. What that same storm leaves behind inside your house, any hour, is ours to fix.
Our Pennsylvania and New Jersey experts are ready to resolve your electrical woes.

Absolutely thrilled with our electrician Dennis! He was very knowledgeable and polite. Made this process very easy and stress free. We had two light fixtures put in along with an exhaust fan, cleaned up after and everything. Highly recommend this company and their electrician!

Had a great experience with Michael Van for my initial inspection/walk-through and Steve P and the crew with the install. All of them, including the employees on the phone, were polite and prompt, and I'm very satisfied with my new electrical panel and wiring.
