The Thomas Edison difference
Looking for a Blairs Mills electrician who already lives close by? Thomas Edison Electric's crews dispatch from their own homes across Huntingdon County, never a distant yard. Blairs Mills falls in ZIP 17213, with Shirleysburg 8.3 miles off, Orbisonia 9.6 and Mount Union 11.1.
Each electrician we send is directly employed, not a subcontractor, and licensed under PA075449. We answer 24/7, 365 days a year, holidays included, and every job starts with a written quote before any work begins.
Our electricians live in the area and drive fully stocked TEE vans out from their own homes.
Loose connections get rated connectors or fresh copper, whichever solves the problem for good.
A Federal Pacific or Zinsco panel gets swapped out, not patched over.
You see the cost before any tool comes off the van.
Nights, weekends and holidays, 365 days a year, someone picks up.
Over 37,000 jobs completed since 2021, PA075449 licensed and insured.
We're dedicated to building lasting relationships with every client through exceptional service and guaranteed results.

Transparent pricing means written quotes with no surprises.
Homes across Huntingdon County often still carry aluminum branch wiring, 100-amp panels, two-prong outlets, and sometimes a recalled Federal Pacific or Zinsco panel. We check the panel brand on the first visit, then put the fix in writing.
That usually turns into a 200-amp service upgrade, a new feeder run to a barn or garage, or a standby generator with an automatic transfer switch. Rural power can stay out a while once it goes, so plenty of homeowners near Blairs Mills plan for that ahead of time.
Blairs Mills doesn't run its own building department. Like most municipalities here, the township hands plan review and inspections to a third-party agency under the state's Uniform Construction Code. We pull the permit and manage that agency, so you never have to chase anyone down.
Met-Ed / Penelec bills most addresses near Blairs Mills, though New Enterprise Rural Electric Cooperative and Valley Rural Electric Cooperative cover other pockets of Huntingdon County. Whichever one shows up on your bill is who we coordinate with for a meter change or service upgrade. A dark street means call the utility. A dark house means call us at 215-227-7000.
Our Pennsylvania and New Jersey experts are ready to resolve your electrical woes.

Mike from Thomas Edison Electric replaced our out-of-service-life whole-house surge protectors and repaired a lighting fixture for our deck. He did an excellent professional job. He didn't try to sell us things we didn't need. I highly recommend Mike.
