Most of Huntingdon County is Met-Ed / Penelec territory, FirstEnergy's utility in this part of the state. Two rural cooperatives also serve parts of the county: New Enterprise Rural Electric and Valley Rural Electric. Which one bills you decides who we call when your job touches the meter or the service entrance. Co-ops and investor-owned utilities do not always want the same meter base or disconnect process. We sort that out before we schedule.
