Saltillo's homes typically date to 1957. Knob-and-tube remnants, fuse boxes, 60-amp services and ungrounded outlets still turn up in houses built that year, especially ones that haven't had the panel touched since.
We swap fuse boxes for modern breaker panels, upgrade service size where 60 amps can't keep up anymore, and add ceiling and attic fans or new lighting circuits along the way. Ground faults on old ungrounded outlets get GFCI protection so the circuit is safe again.
Saltillo's permitting runs through the township, under Pennsylvania's Uniform Construction Code, with inspections handled by a contracted third party, the usual setup in this part of Huntingdon County. We file the paperwork and book the inspection as part of the job.
Met-Ed / Penelec bills most homes around Saltillo, while New Enterprise Rural Electric Cooperative and Valley Rural Electric Cooperative cover other pockets of the county. A service upgrade needs coordination at the meter, and we handle that call. For anything inside the house, reach us at 215-227-7000.
Our Pennsylvania and New Jersey experts are ready to resolve your electrical woes.

Mike from Thomas Edison Electric replaced our out-of-service-life whole-house surge protectors and repaired a lighting fixture for our deck. He did an excellent professional job. He didn't try to sell us things we didn't need. I highly recommend Mike.
