The Thomas Edison difference
Orbisonia electricians from Thomas Edison Electric cover this Huntingdon County borough of about 468 people and the towns around it. Rockhill Furnace sits just 0.4 miles off, with Shirleysburg 3.9 miles away and Shade Gap 4.5. Orbisonia itself falls in ZIP 17243.
Every electrician we send is on our own payroll, dispatching from home in a fully stocked TEE van. We are licensed under PA075449, insured, and answer 24/7, 365 days a year with a written quote for every job.
Fuse boxes and 60-amp services from that era are ordinary work for us.
Our electricians live around Orbisonia and drive stocked vans from home.
Old services get real capacity, not a patch job.
The quote is on paper before work starts.
Nights, weekends and holidays, 365 days a year.
Over 37,000 jobs completed since 2021, rated 4.8 stars on Google.
We're dedicated to building lasting relationships with every client through exceptional service and guaranteed results.

Orbisonia's homes typically date to 1957. Knob-and-tube remnants, fuse boxes, 60-amp services and ungrounded outlets are still common in houses from that era, and we see all four on a regular basis.
That usually means upgrading the panel to modern breakers and enough amperage for central air or an electric range, then grounding outlets that were never wired for it. Some homeowners add a Level 2 EV charger once the panel has the room, and we handle both in the same visit when it makes sense.
Township officials near Orbisonia oversee permits under the state Uniform Construction Code, but a third-party agency actually inspects the finished work, which is standard for Huntingdon County. We coordinate both sides so the job keeps moving without you having to track anyone down.
Met-Ed / Penelec bills most homes here, while New Enterprise Rural Electric Cooperative and Valley Rural Electric Cooperative serve other stretches of the county. We confirm which one covers your address before scheduling a meter change or service upgrade. On your side of the meter, call 215-227-7000.
Our Pennsylvania and New Jersey experts are ready to resolve your electrical woes.

Mike from Thomas Edison Electric replaced our out-of-service-life whole-house surge protectors and repaired a lighting fixture for our deck. He did an excellent professional job. He didn't try to sell us things we didn't need. I highly recommend Mike.
