The Thomas Edison difference
Need a Mill Creek electrician? Thomas Edison Electric covers this small Huntingdon County borough, home to about 319 people, with crews that dispatch from their own homes instead of a distant yard. Mill Creek sits in ZIP 17060, near Mapleton Depot at 2.9 miles, Mount Union at 4.4 and Shirleysburg at 10.0.
Our electricians are directly employed, licensed under PA075449, and insured. We answer 24/7, 365 days a year, and every visit starts with a written price, not a guess.
Fuse boxes and knob-and-tube remnants are routine work for us, not a surprise.
Our electrician lives in the area and drives a fully stocked TEE van from home.
The price is on paper before we touch anything.
Ungrounded outlets get a real ground or GFCI protection, to code.
Nights, weekends and holidays are normal hours for us.
Over 37,000 jobs completed since 2021, licensed under PA075449.
We're dedicated to building lasting relationships with every client through exceptional service and guaranteed results.

Mill Creek's homes typically date to 1947. Knob-and-tube remnants, fuse boxes, 60-amp services and ungrounded outlets are still common in a house that age, especially if no one has touched the panel in decades.
We replace fuse panels with modern breakers, upgrade the service to handle today's loads, and add grounded, GFCI-protected outlets where the originals never had a ground wire. If you are buying an older home here, our electrical safety inspection tells you exactly what you are getting before you close.
The township covering Mill Creek issues permits under the state's Uniform Construction Code, then leans on a third-party inspector to review the finished work, a setup common across Huntingdon County. We schedule that inspector and stand there when they show up, so you don't have to take time off work.
Met-Ed / Penelec bills most of Mill Creek, while New Enterprise Rural Electric Cooperative and Valley Rural Electric Cooperative reach other parts of the county. A service upgrade or meter change gets scheduled with whichever one serves your address. For anything past the meter, call 215-227-7000.
Our Pennsylvania and New Jersey experts are ready to resolve your electrical woes.

Mike from Thomas Edison Electric replaced our out-of-service-life whole-house surge protectors and repaired a lighting fixture for our deck. He did an excellent professional job. He didn't try to sell us things we didn't need. I highly recommend Mike.
