Dalmatia's typical home dates to 1948, so knob-and-tube remnants, fuse boxes, 60-amp services and ungrounded outlets are all familiar territory for us here. None of that means an emergency, but it does mean a lighter electrical load than most modern households ask for.
We spend plenty of time on the everyday list too: a dryer outlet that needs its own circuit, a stubborn breaker, or a dedicated circuit for a well pump or a shop. See range, dryer and AC outlets for the appliance work we do most.
Dalmatia has no borough government of its own, so the township issues electrical permits under Pennsylvania's Uniform Construction Code. As in most of Northumberland County, a third-party inspection agency handles plan review and inspections rather than the township running its own building department. We pull the permit, book the inspection and are on site for it.
PPL Electric Utilities serves most of the area, and Citizens Electric Company covers part of Northumberland County too. A service upgrade or meter change needs a scheduled disconnect and reconnect, and we make that call. Outages and downed lines are the utility's job. Everything from the meter in is ours, any hour you need us.
