The Thomas Edison difference
Friendsville electricians from Thomas Edison Electric cover one of Susquehanna County's smallest boroughs, just 162 people by the last count. Friendsville, ZIP 18818, sits near Little Meadows and Brackney, inside Susquehanna County, with Montrose the county seat.
We are family-owned, and our electricians are direct employees, never subcontractors, working out of fully stocked TEE vans. PA075449 and full insurance cover every job, day or night, 365 days a year. Call 215-227-7000 first, and the quote comes in writing.
Copper wiring is standard here, and panel capacity is usually the real question.
We run the load calculation first, then size the circuit or panel to match.
Friendsville gets the same licensed electrician and stocked van as any larger town.
Every call goes to a Thomas Edison Electric employee, never a stranger in a rented truck.
You see the total and approve it before any work begins.
PA075449, insured, nights, weekends and holidays included.
We're dedicated to building lasting relationships with every client through exceptional service and guaranteed results.

Transparent pricing means written quotes with no surprises.
Friendsville's median home dates to 1984, later than most of the county, so copper wiring is the norm here rather than aluminum. The issue is usually capacity, not safety. A 100 or 150-amp panel that was plenty for a 1980s house often runs out of room once a heat pump, a hot tub or an EV charger enters the picture.
We run a load calculation before adding any of those, and upgrade the panel when the math calls for it. Custom lighting and other add-ons get the same written price before we start.
Friendsville Borough requires an electrical permit under the state's Uniform Construction Code, and like most small boroughs in the county, it contracts a third-party agency to handle inspections rather than running its own office. We take care of that filing and scheduling as part of every job.
PPL Electric Utilities serves Friendsville, with Claverack Rural Electric Cooperative covering other stretches of Susquehanna County. Adding a large new load, an EV charger or a hot tub, sometimes means a service upgrade, which requires a scheduled disconnect and reconnect with the utility. We handle that coordination too.
Our Pennsylvania and New Jersey experts are ready to resolve your electrical woes.

Mike from Thomas Edison Electric replaced our out-of-service-life whole-house surge protectors and repaired a lighting fixture for our deck. He did an excellent professional job. He didn't try to sell us things we didn't need. I highly recommend Mike.
