The Thomas Edison difference
Need a Lafayette Hill electrician? Thomas Edison Electric's crews are direct employees, never subcontractors, dispatching from their own homes in fully stocked TEE vans. Lafayette Hill, ZIP 19444, sits inside Montgomery County, within a few miles of Plymouth Meeting, Conshohocken, Flourtown and Gladwyne.
The housing stock leans older here. Aluminum branch circuits, 100-amp panels and two-prong outlets turn up often, and the occasional recalled Federal Pacific or Zinsco panel comes with them. PA license PA075449 covers the work, and someone picks up the phone 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Reach us at 610-270-9700, and expect a written price before anything starts.
Approved connectors or a targeted rewire, whichever fixes the actual risk.
A Federal Pacific or Zinsco panel becomes a modern breaker panel.
Two-prong outlets get a true ground or GFCI protection.
We schedule the meter disconnect and reconnect for any panel work.
No subcontractors. Lafayette Hill calls go to our own crews.
PA075449, 4.8 stars on Google, and a waived dispatch fee if we run late.
We're dedicated to building lasting relationships with every client through exceptional service and guaranteed results.

Transparent pricing means written quotes with no surprises.
Aluminum branch wiring is not automatically dangerous, but the connections need attention that copper never required. Warm switch plates and flickering lights are usual clues. So is a breaker that feels loose in its slot. We remake each connection with an approved connector. Where a recalled panel is part of the picture, we handle a full panel upgrade instead. An electrical safety inspection is the easiest way to find out where your home stands.
PECO Energy Company is the utility for Lafayette Hill. A panel or service change means a scheduled meter disconnect and reconnect. We arrange that so you are not left guessing when the power comes back.
Electrical permits for Lafayette Hill addresses go through the township rather than a borough hall, since the community itself is unincorporated. Pennsylvania's Uniform Construction Code governs the process, and as in most of the county, plan review and inspection go to a third-party agency instead of township staff. Consider that step already scheduled once you approve our quote.
PECO Energy Company serves Lafayette Hill. A panel swap or service upgrade needs a scheduled disconnect and reconnect at the meter, which we handle directly with PECO. A downed line or neighborhood outage is PECO's to repair; everything from the meter inward is ours, any hour of the day.
Our Pennsylvania and New Jersey experts are ready to resolve your electrical woes.

Mike from Thomas Edison Electric replaced our out-of-service-life whole-house surge protectors and repaired a lighting fixture for our deck. He did an excellent professional job. He didn't try to sell us things we didn't need. I highly recommend Mike.
