Being this close to Hatfield matters for one reason: some Mainland addresses bill through Hatfield's own municipal electric department instead of PECO. Check the name at the top of a recent bill before scheduling a panel or service upgrade, since that determines who disconnects and reconnects the meter.
Either way, the house itself often needs the same attention: aluminum connections checked and corrected, a panel upgrade where a recalled panel is involved, and two-prong outlets grounded properly. An electrical safety inspection is a good starting point if you are not sure what you have.
Mainland has no borough government of its own, so permitting runs through the township under Pennsylvania's Uniform Construction Code. As is typical across this county, a third-party agency, not township staff, handles the plan review and inspection, and we manage that process for you start to finish.
