The wire itself is usually fine. What fails on aluminum branch circuits is the connection point, where the metal expands and contracts differently than copper and slowly loosens over the years. We check every outlet, switch and breaker connection, then fix what has loosened, or move straight to a panel upgrade when the service itself is the bigger issue. Older kitchens and workshops often need dedicated circuits added at the same time.
