The Thomas Edison difference
A Martindale electrician from Thomas Edison Electric is our own employee, never a subcontractor, dispatching from home in a fully stocked TEE van. Martindale, ZIP 17549, sits in Lancaster County near Terre Hill at 2.0 miles, Blue Ball at 3.2 and New Holland at 3.6.
We carry PA license PA075449 and full insurance as a family-owned, multigenerational company. Calls come in 24/7, 365 days a year, holidays included, with a written quote before any work starts. If we run late, we waive the dispatch fee.
Our Martindale electricians dispatch from their own homes across the surrounding townships, not a shared fleet lot.
A dead outlet or a noisy fan gets the same licensed electrician as a panel job.
Rated connectors go on every joint, or new copper goes in where the connection calls for it.
We schedule meter and service work with whichever electric utility serves your address.
The price is set before any work begins, small job or large.
Nights, weekends and holidays included, with the dispatch fee waived if we're late.
We're dedicated to building lasting relationships with every client through exceptional service and guaranteed results.

Transparent pricing means written quotes with no surprises.
Martindale's electric picture is a little more varied than most of the county, since PPL, Met-Ed and Ephrata's own municipal system all serve addresses nearby. What doesn't vary is the age of the wiring: aluminum branch circuits, 100-amp panels and two-prong outlets are typical across Lancaster County, and a recalled Federal Pacific or Zinsco panel isn't unusual either.
We spend just as much time on smaller requests: a ceiling fan installation, a dedicated circuit for a workshop, or custom lighting for a remodeled room. Whatever the size, the same crew that covers Terre Hill and Blue Ball handles the work in Martindale too.
Martindale has no borough of its own, so the township issues electrical permits under Pennsylvania's Uniform Construction Code. As in most of the county, plan review and inspection typically go through a third-party agency rather than a township building department. We pull the permit, book the inspection and manage the visit, all part of your written quote.
PPL Electric Utilities is the primary electric utility around Martindale, with some nearby addresses served by Met-Ed or Ephrata's own municipal system. Whichever one serves your meter, we schedule the disconnect and reconnect for a panel or service upgrade. Line repairs belong to the utility; the panel and wiring inside are ours.
Our Pennsylvania and New Jersey experts are ready to resolve your electrical woes.

Mike from Thomas Edison Electric replaced our out-of-service-life whole-house surge protectors and repaired a lighting fixture for our deck. He did an excellent professional job. He didn't try to sell us things we didn't need. I highly recommend Mike.
