The Thomas Edison difference
A McAlisterville electrician from Thomas Edison Electric can be on your call list today, already living in Juniata County rather than driving in from far off. About 929 people live in McAlisterville, ZIP 17049, near Oakland Mills at 2.7 miles, Cocolamus at 3.3 and Thompsontown at 5.3.
We employ our electricians directly, license them under PA075449, and insure every job. We answer 24/7, 365 days a year, and every visit starts with a written price before work begins.
Fuse boxes and 60-amp services don't slow us down.
No subcontractors, just crews who live in Juniata County.
We plan for today's loads, not 1953's.
No surprise pricing, ever.
Nights and weekends are normal hours for us.
Over 37,000 jobs completed since 2021, rated 4.8 stars on Google.
We're dedicated to building lasting relationships with every client through exceptional service and guaranteed results.

McAlisterville's homes typically date to 1953. Knob-and-tube remnants, fuse boxes, 60-amp services and ungrounded outlets are still common in houses from that era, and we work on all four regularly.
We replace old fuse panels with breaker upgrades sized for modern loads, add a Level 2 EV charger once the panel has the capacity, and install or repair ceiling and attic fans as part of everyday calls. Grounding ungrounded outlets rounds out most of that work.
In McAlisterville, the township oversees permitting under the state's Uniform Construction Code, and, as in most of Juniata County, hires a third-party inspector to check the finished work. We coordinate the whole thing, so you only deal with us.
PPL Electric Utilities serves most of McAlisterville, while Met-Ed / Penelec and Valley Rural Electric Cooperative cover other parts of the county. We confirm which one bills your address before any meter work. Call 570-648-8800 for anything past the meter.
Our Pennsylvania and New Jersey experts are ready to resolve your electrical woes.

Absolutely thrilled with our electrician Dennis! He was very knowledgeable and polite. Made this process very easy and stress free. We had two light fixtures put in along with an exhaust fan, cleaned up after and everything. Highly recommend this company and their electrician!

Jimmy made the service call easy. After describing our issue, 2 min max, he already knew what was wrong. He quickly identified, found, and fixed the offending GFI. After years of using Thomas Edison Electric we always refer them to friends and family.

Had a great experience with Michael Van for my initial inspection/walk-through and Steve P and the crew with the install. All of them, including the employees on the phone, were polite and prompt, and I'm very satisfied with my new electrical panel and wiring.
