Electrical Work We See in Thompsontown
Older borough housing in Thompsontown still turns up knob-and-tube remnants, fuse boxes standing in for a real panel, and 60-amp services with outlets that have no ground.
We start with a safety inspection so you know what is in the walls, then fix it with a written price attached. Homes adding a security camera or home office often need new data wiring run at the same time.
McAlisterville is 5.3 miles off, Oakland Mills 5.4, Cocolamus 5.9, all on one schedule.
Permits, Inspections and Your Utility in Thompsontown
Thompsontown's permit process follows Pennsylvania's Uniform Construction Code, the same as the rest of Juniata County, and the borough typically brings in an outside agency to check plans and inspect finished work. We file the permit and schedule the inspection.
PPL Electric Utilities is the electric utility for Thompsontown. A service upgrade or new meter means a disconnect and reconnect on PPL's side, which we arrange. PPL repairs downed lines and pole damage. From the meter into the house, any hour, is ours.

Lyle was fantastic to work with! He was very punctual, arriving right within the expected window the day of. While he was here he did good work, made sure to answer all questions during and after the job was completed, and cleaned up all traces of work being done like drywall dust and leftover bits of wire/wood scraps before leaving. 10/10, would entrust again.
