The Thomas Edison difference
A Shawanese electrician from Thomas Edison Electric already works ZIP 18654 and the roads around it. Harveys Lake sits 1.3 miles off. Lehman, Dallas and Shavertown are close too. All of it sits inside Luzerne County, where our crews work every week.
Our electricians are direct employees, not subcontractors. Each one leaves for the job from home in a fully stocked TEE van. We hold PA075449 and full insurance. We answer 24/7, 365 days a year, holidays included, and the price comes in writing before work starts.
From Harveys Lake to Dallas, our crews already know these roads.
Never a subcontractor, always someone who works directly for Thomas Edison Electric.
Nights, weekends and holidays reach the same crew as a Tuesday afternoon.
We settle the price before we start any job.
Miss the window and the dispatch fee comes off.
Ask about payment plans for bigger jobs like a panel swap.
We're dedicated to building lasting relationships with every client through exceptional service and guaranteed results.

Transparent pricing means written quotes with no surprises.
A flickering light, a dead outlet, or a breaker that trips for no clear reason: these are the calls that fill most days out here. Our vans carry the parts to close them out in one visit.
Homes across Luzerne County often still have aluminum branch wiring, 100-amp panels, two-prong outlets, or a recalled Federal Pacific or Zinsco panel. The Shawanese area is no different. We also install ceiling and attic fans and dedicated circuits for docks, sheds and workshops near the lake. We price every job in writing first.
The line running to your meter belongs to the utility. Everything from the meter into the house belongs to us. PPL Electric Utilities serves most of this part of the county, with UGI Electric and Claverack Rural Electric Cooperative covering some nearby pockets, and we coordinate the disconnect and reconnect with whichever one reaches your address.
Permits work the same way in Shawanese as they do across Pennsylvania: the township issues them under the state's Uniform Construction Code, usually through a third-party agency that handles plan review and inspection. We file the paperwork and meet the inspector so the process stays off your plate.
Our Pennsylvania and New Jersey experts are ready to resolve your electrical woes.

Mike from Thomas Edison Electric replaced our out-of-service-life whole-house surge protectors and repaired a lighting fixture for our deck. He did an excellent professional job. He didn't try to sell us things we didn't need. I highly recommend Mike.
