The Thomas Edison difference
Your Summerdale Electricians
Need a Summerdale electrician? Thomas Edison Electric covers ZIP 17093 in Cumberland County, right next to Enola, just 1.5 miles away, and close to Camp Hill and Lemoyne too. Across Cumberland County, homes carry aluminum branch wiring, 100-amp panels, two-prong outlets and recalled Federal Pacific or Zinsco panels more often than owners expect.
Our electricians are direct employees who dispatch from their own homes in fully stocked TEE vans, not subcontractors. We're licensed under PA075449, answer any hour, and put every price in writing before we start. Call 717-274-2700 whenever the problem shows up.

Electrical Work Around Summerdale
A recalled panel doesn't announce itself. Federal Pacific and Zinsco panels, both common across this part of Cumberland County, can look and act normal for years before a breaker fails to trip when it should. If your panel carries either brand, circuit breaker repair and upgrades is worth doing before anything else on the list.
Aluminum branch wiring is the other issue we watch for, since loose connections at outlets and switches can run warm behind the wall. We correct those joints with approved connectors, add grounding where two-prong outlets remain, and handle it all through a single safety inspection if you want the full picture first.
Permits, Inspections and Your Utility in Summerdale
Summerdale's permits run through its township under Pennsylvania's Uniform Construction Code, and as in most of Cumberland County, a third-party agency handles plan review and inspections rather than a township building department. We take care of filing the permit and scheduling the inspector.
PPL Electric Utilities serves Summerdale. A panel swap or new service means we coordinate the disconnect and reconnect with PPL directly. If the whole block loses power, that's a PPL repair. If it's only your house, call us instead.
