The Thomas Edison difference
Washington Boro electricians from Thomas Edison Electric work in one of the smaller communities in this part of Lancaster County, 663 people in ZIP 17582. Columbia sits 3.5 miles away, Mountville 3.8 and Silver Spring 5.2.
PA075449 is our license number, and insurance covers every job we take on here. Electricians on staff are hired directly, not subcontracted, and available 24/7, 365 days a year, including holidays. You'll have a written quote before anything starts, and a late arrival on our end waives the dispatch fee.
Knob-and-tube wiring, fuse boxes and 60-amp service are common in this area's older homes, and ungrounded outlets often come with them.
663 residents still get a 24/7 licensed electrician, same as anywhere bigger in the county.
We schedule meter and service work directly with PPL.
Approved before work begins.
Holidays included, dispatch fee waived if we're late.
Over 37,000 jobs completed since 2021, PA075449, 4.8 stars on Google.
We're dedicated to building lasting relationships with every client through exceptional service and guaranteed results.

Transparent pricing means written quotes with no surprises.
Washington Boro's housing stock leans older, typically 1942, which puts knob-and-tube remnants, fuse boxes and 60-amp services on the list of what we find. Ungrounded outlets are common too, especially in additions built onto the original house. None of these are reasons to panic. They're reasons to have someone look.
PPL Electric Utilities is the utility here. An electrical safety inspection tells you where the house actually stands, and any upgrade that follows gets coordinated with PPL at the meter. Call 717-274-2700 any hour of the day.
Washington Boro's permits are a township matter, filed under Pennsylvania's Uniform Construction Code. As with most of the county, an outside agency handles the inspection rather than the township doing it in-house, and which agency depends on where exactly you sit. We manage the filing and the inspection date, both covered under the quote you approve first.
PPL Electric Utilities serves this area. A service upgrade or meter change needs PPL's disconnect and reconnect, which we schedule on your behalf. A neighborhood-wide outage goes to PPL. A problem only at your address comes to us.
Our Pennsylvania and New Jersey experts are ready to resolve your electrical woes.

Mike from Thomas Edison Electric replaced our out-of-service-life whole-house surge protectors and repaired a lighting fixture for our deck. He did an excellent professional job. He didn't try to sell us things we didn't need. I highly recommend Mike.
