Older homes around Andreas often still carry knob-and-tube remnants, fuse boxes, 60-amp services and outlets with no ground pin, and none of it was built with today's loads in mind. Knob-and-tube in particular gets risky when someone blows insulation over it without knowing it's there, since that wiring was designed to shed heat into open air. An electrical safety inspection is the way to find out what's actually behind your walls before that becomes a problem.
Once we know what we're working with, a panel upgrade from 60 amps to modern breaker capacity usually follows, along with grounding the outlets that need it. Our electricians are directly employed, not subcontracted, and dispatch from their own homes across the region, in vans stocked for both the inspection and the fix.
Andreas has one utility to deal with, which simplifies things. PPL Electric Utilities serves the whole area, so a service upgrade or new panel means one call to coordinate the disconnect and reconnect, not a guessing game about which provider owns your line. We handle that scheduling directly.
Permits themselves go through the township under Pennsylvania's Uniform Construction Code. Most townships in Schuylkill County rely on a third-party agency for plan review and inspections instead of staffing a building department of their own. We file the application, book the inspection, and are there when the inspector walks the job.
Our Pennsylvania and New Jersey experts are ready to resolve your electrical woes.

Mike from Thomas Edison Electric replaced our out-of-service-life whole-house surge protectors and repaired a lighting fixture for our deck. He did an excellent professional job. He didn't try to sell us things we didn't need. I highly recommend Mike.
