Most of what we fix traces back to the 1938 wiring. Knob-and-tube gets isolated and replaced, fuse boxes become modern breaker panels, and two-prong outlets get grounded or protected with GFCI. We also wire up new EV chargers for anyone adding one, all priced in writing first.
Tuscarora is unincorporated, so its township handles electrical permits under Pennsylvania's Uniform Construction Code. As with most of the county, the township uses a third-party agency to review plans and inspect the work instead of running its own building department. We file the permit and meet the inspector so it is one less thing for you to manage.
PPL Electric Utilities serves Tuscarora. On a panel upgrade, PPL disconnects and reconnects the meter once our work passes inspection, and we schedule that directly. If the outage is on the lines outside, that belongs to PPL. Everything from the meter into the house, any hour, is ours.
