The Thomas Edison difference
A Berrysburg electrician from Thomas Edison Electric answers calls across this small Dauphin County borough of 301 people, ZIP 17005, and out to Pillow, just 2.7 miles away, and Elizabethville and Gratz beyond that. Most Berrysburg homes go back to 1938, old enough that knob-and-tube remnants and 60-amp fuse boxes still turn up.
We staff the area with direct employees who dispatch from their own homes in fully stocked TEE vans, not subcontractors. Call 570-648-8800 any hour, and expect a written quote before anyone picks up a tool.

Knob-and-tube, fuse boxes and ungrounded outlets are routine work for us.
Nights, weekends and holidays, someone picks up.

Transparent pricing means written quotes with no surprises.
A 1938 build usually means the original panel is long gone, but what replaced it decades ago often wasn't much better. Knob-and-tube wiring left in the walls, a fuse box instead of breakers, and outlets with no ground are the norm rather than the exception in a borough this age.
None of that is an emergency by itself, but it's worth knowing what you're working with. We swap fuse panels for breaker boxes, retire any remaining knob-and-tube runs, and add grounding through circuit breaker repair and upgrades or a standalone safety inspection.
Berrysburg issues electrical permits under Pennsylvania's Uniform Construction Code, and like most small Dauphin County boroughs, it relies on a third-party agency for plan review and inspection rather than a dedicated building department. We file the permit and coordinate the inspector's visit.
PPL Electric Utilities is the primary utility here. A panel upgrade or new service means a scheduled disconnect and reconnect with PPL, which we arrange. An outage across the block is PPL's repair; a dark house alone on a lit street is ours.
Our Pennsylvania and New Jersey experts are ready to resolve your electrical woes.

Absolutely thrilled with our electrician Dennis! He was very knowledgeable and polite. Made this process very easy and stress free. We had two light fixtures put in along with an exhaust fan, cleaned up after and everything. Highly recommend this company and their electrician!

Had a great experience with Michael Van for my initial inspection/walk-through and Steve P and the crew with the install. All of them, including the employees on the phone, were polite and prompt, and I'm very satisfied with my new electrical panel and wiring.
