The Thomas Edison difference
A Gratz electrician from Thomas Edison Electric covers this small Dauphin County borough of 745 people, ZIP 17030, tucked between Wiconisco, 3.0 miles off, and Lykens at 3.2. Most Gratz homes date to 1938, old enough for knob-and-tube remnants, fuse boxes and 60-amp service to still be common.
Every electrician we send is a direct TEE employee, not a subcontractor, dispatching from home in a fully stocked van. Call 717-274-2700 any hour and get a written quote before work starts.
Crews dispatch from home across Dauphin County in fully stocked vans.
Fuse boxes and knob-and-tube remnants are routine work, not a surprise call.
Nights, weekends and holidays, we pick up.
The price on paper is the price you pay.
Miss the window and the dispatch fee is on us.

Transparent pricing means written quotes with no surprises.
A 60-amp fuse box was standard when most Gratz homes went up, and plenty of them are still doing that same job today. The trouble is that a modern household asks more of a panel than a 1938 kitchen ever did, and a fuse box has no room left to give once you add central air or a second fridge.
We swap the panel, correct knob-and-tube runs where they remain, and ground what we can. Circuit breaker repair and upgrades covers the panel work, and lighting safety recommendations rounds out an older kitchen or bath.
Gratz issues electrical permits under Pennsylvania's Uniform Construction Code, and as in most small Dauphin County boroughs, it contracts inspections to a third-party agency instead of running its own building department. We handle the filing and the inspection scheduling as part of the job.
PPL Electric Utilities delivers power in Gratz. A panel upgrade or new service means PPL disconnects and reconnects at the meter, and we arrange that for you. A wide outage is PPL's repair. A dark house alone on a lit block is ours.
Our Pennsylvania and New Jersey experts are ready to resolve your electrical woes.

Absolutely thrilled with our electrician Dennis! He was very knowledgeable and polite. Made this process very easy and stress free. We had two light fixtures put in along with an exhaust fan, cleaned up after and everything. Highly recommend this company and their electrician!

Had a great experience with Michael Van for my initial inspection/walk-through and Steve P and the crew with the install. All of them, including the employees on the phone, were polite and prompt, and I'm very satisfied with my new electrical panel and wiring.
