Transparent pricing means written quotes with no surprises.
Most Lykens homes date to 1938. Knob-and-tube remnants, fuse boxes, 60-amp service and ungrounded outlets are still common finds from that era, and none of it is unusual for a borough this age.
Not every call is a big project. A tripped breaker, a dead outlet, a ceiling fan that won't balance, our vans carry the parts for all of it. When the job is bigger, a 200-amp panel upgrade clears out an old fuse box for good, and custom lighting or a dedicated circuit come with a written price before we start.
Lykens Borough issues electrical permits under Pennsylvania's Uniform Construction Code. Like most municipalities in the county, it works with a third-party inspection agency rather than staffing its own building department. We pull the permit, schedule the inspection and fold the cost into your written quote, so nothing shows up as a surprise later.
PPL Electric Utilities is the primary utility here, with Met-Ed serving parts of the wider area. A service upgrade, panel swap or new meter means a scheduled disconnect and reconnect with whichever utility owns your line, and we handle that call. If the whole street loses power, that's a utility outage. If it's just your house, that's us, any hour.
Our Pennsylvania and New Jersey experts are ready to resolve your electrical woes.

Absolutely thrilled with our electrician Dennis! He was very knowledgeable and polite. Made this process very easy and stress free. We had two light fixtures put in along with an exhaust fan, cleaned up after and everything. Highly recommend this company and their electrician!

Had a great experience with Michael Van for my initial inspection/walk-through and Steve P and the crew with the install. All of them, including the employees on the phone, were polite and prompt, and I'm very satisfied with my new electrical panel and wiring.
