Transparent pricing means written quotes with no surprises.
Blain's typical home dates to 1938, solidly in the knob-and-tube and fuse-box years. Original 60-amp services and ungrounded outlets are common in houses from that era, and remnants of knob-and-tube wiring sometimes still run through an attic or a wall that has never been opened up.
We treat a Blain service call the same as one anywhere else in Perry County: panel upgrades to replace an old fuse box, dedicated circuits for a well pump or a workshop, and grounding outlets that were never meant to carry today's electronics. Every price is written down before the work begins. Call 215-227-7000 any hour you need us.
Blain Borough issues electrical permits under Pennsylvania's Uniform Construction Code, and like most small boroughs, it relies on a third-party agency for plan review and inspections. We file the permit, schedule the inspection and meet the inspector on site, part of the price we put in writing.
PPL Electric Utilities serves much of the Blain area, with Met-Ed and Penelec, part of FirstEnergy, covering other parts of Perry County. We confirm which provider bills your address and schedule the disconnect and reconnect accordingly. Downed lines and outages are the utility's repair. Everything from the meter into the house is ours, any hour.
Our Pennsylvania and New Jersey experts are ready to resolve your electrical woes.

Mike from Thomas Edison Electric replaced our out-of-service-life whole-house surge protectors and repaired a lighting fixture for our deck. He did an excellent professional job. He didn't try to sell us things we didn't need. I highly recommend Mike.
