The Thomas Edison difference
Cressona electricians from Thomas Edison Electric are our own employees, never subcontracted, each one based at home with a van already stocked, answering calls all across Schuylkill County. Cressona is a borough of 1,420 people in ZIP 17929, 1.2 miles from Schuylkill Haven and close to the county seat, Pottsville.
PA075449 covers our license, insurance is current, and we've passed 37,000 jobs since 2021. Call 610-777-7600 any hour, and get a written quote before work starts. If we're late, the dispatch fee is on us.
Cressona's electricians are directly employed and roll out from home in fully stocked TEE vans.
Fuse boxes and knob-and-tube wiring from 1938 are routine work in this borough.
We coordinate any meter or service upgrade, whether your line runs through PPL or Schuylkill Haven's system.
The cost is written down before any work begins.
24/7, 365 days a year, no exceptions.
Reviewed well by real clients, fully insured, and financing available if needed.
We're dedicated to building lasting relationships with every client through exceptional service and guaranteed results.

Cressona's houses tend to be older than their owners. Sixty-amp fuse service, ungrounded receptacles and stretches of knob-and-tube wiring are typical finds once we get the panel cover off. A 200-amp panel upgrade is the most common fix, paired with grounding for any two-prong outlet an electrical safety inspection turns up.
Cressona also sits close enough to Schuylkill Haven's own municipal electric system that the two get mentioned together, and we cover Landingville and Summit Station with the same crews. Either way, we schedule the utility side and handle everything behind the meter.
Cressona Borough issues the electrical permit locally, following Pennsylvania's Uniform Construction Code the same as every municipality in the state. Like most boroughs this size, it uses a third-party agency for plan review and inspection instead of running its own building department. We handle the filing and the inspector's visit as part of the job.
PPL Electric Utilities is the main utility, and Schuylkill Haven's borough-owned system serves some addresses close by. We confirm which one owns your line and schedule any meter work directly with them.
Our Pennsylvania and New Jersey experts are ready to resolve your electrical woes.

Mike from Thomas Edison Electric replaced our out-of-service-life whole-house surge protectors and repaired a lighting fixture for our deck. He did an excellent professional job. He didn't try to sell us things we didn't need. I highly recommend Mike.
