The Thomas Edison difference
In Cumbola, an electrician from Thomas Edison Electric is our own employee, not a subcontractor, heading out from home with a van already loaded rather than from a company lot. Cumbola is a small community of 243 people in ZIP 17930, tucked between Port Carbon, Saint Clair and Pottsville in Schuylkill County.
More than 37,000 jobs since 2021, every one licensed under PA075449 and fully insured. Call 610-777-7600 any hour of the day or night. The quote is written before work starts, and a late arrival means we waive the dispatch fee.
Cumbola's electricians live in the area and dispatch from home, never a subcontractor.
Whether PPL, Schuylkill Haven or Saint Clair owns your line, we confirm it and schedule the work.
Fuse boxes, 60-amp service and knob-and-tube wiring are routine, everyday jobs here.
The cost is set before any tool comes out of the van.
Nights, weekends and holidays get the same answer as a Tuesday afternoon.
4.8 stars on Google, full insurance, and flexible financing on request.
We're dedicated to building lasting relationships with every client through exceptional service and guaranteed results.

Cumbola sits where three electric utilities meet. PPL Electric Utilities is the primary provider, and Schuylkill Haven and Saint Clair each run their own municipal system nearby, so more than one utility could own the line to a given house. We confirm which one before scheduling any meter work.
In Cumbola, a fuse box is still more common than a breaker panel. Sixty amps of service, ungrounded two-prong outlets and the occasional run of knob-and-tube wiring are what we expect to find, and a breaker panel upgrade is the usual fix.
Permitting in Cumbola runs through the township rather than a borough office, following Pennsylvania's Uniform Construction Code the same as everywhere in the state. The township typically hands inspection duties to a third-party agency, and we manage the whole filing for you.
PPL Electric Utilities is the primary electric provider, though Schuylkill Haven and Saint Clair's municipal systems also serve parts of the area. We identify the right utility for your address and coordinate any meter work directly with them.
Our Pennsylvania and New Jersey experts are ready to resolve your electrical woes.

Mike from Thomas Edison Electric replaced our out-of-service-life whole-house surge protectors and repaired a lighting fixture for our deck. He did an excellent professional job. He didn't try to sell us things we didn't need. I highly recommend Mike.
